Summer is Here, Let's Multiply!

Since summer is just around the corner, it is definitely time to decide what you are going to do with your children for the next couple of months. I know exactly what you should do with them. Send them to me. I am hosting a camp to keep up their math skills through the summer. When classes resume in August, your child won't have skipped a beat. They will be ready to go and it won't cost you much to get.

This class is designed for 2nd-5th graders who have already learned their addition and subtraction facts and know them pretty well. We will review and touch on those only very briefly each week. The focus of our curriculum will be multiplication facts!! That includes learning to skip count and quickly answer multiplication facts through 12.

To make it fun and to encourage higher level thinking, I will teach some problem solving skills using games and manipulative's, as well. These will be quick, but fun activities, and usually will be sent home with the children so they can teach them to you, too.
